The packaging wasn't complicated, the instructions are clear though the shelf is so well designed that assembly is pretty self explanatory. The hardware comes installed on the shelves to indicate they are all present and they even give you an extra screw in case you lose one. The shelves are steel (bonus for magnets) and the bends are clean and near perfect 90 degrees. The shelves have several height positions and the wall hangers are adjustable as well. As you can see in my photos, you can install the shelf with the lips up or down. The instructions indicate to install them up but I prefer the look of them pointed down. I liked this shelf so much I ordered a second and plan to order a third. My only gripe is that I wish the large shelf was even larger. Other than that, this shelf is nearly perfect. Simplistic design, fantastic construction, I can't recommend this shelf enough! Review: The screws are a bit tiny but overall very easy to assemble. Chose the bigger size so I can fit a 6" pot in the future.
