This review is for the SL-1085 Solofish light / laser combination. Light is okay, could be brighter – not 800LM maybe 500-600LM. Green laser is very good, bright and crisp. This light / laser combo is designed to fit precisely with pistols with 4-inch barrels. Meaning that the light is exactly flush with the end of the barrel. IF you have more than a 4-inch barrel, the light will not reach the end of your barrel. IF you have a shorter barrel than 4 inch the light will stick out past the barrel (which I do not ever want myself). I purchased this for the S&W M&P 4-inch platform (identical frames for all the 9mm / 40 cal. / 10mm / .45 cal. frames). I have mounted 2 of these now to a perfect fit. Follow the instructions folks! Many pics of this light on others weapons clearly show they are mounted incorrectly. When mounted correctly the buttons will be directly over the forward portion of the trigger guard (where your finger reaches precisely correct, comfortably without reaching). You need to take out the 2 screws entirely to use the smaller rail plate (normally) for the proper fit on 4-inch barrel pistols. For the money and fit, these light / laser units are an exceptional value.
