Review: These work great to keep our brown sugar soft - The very low humidity here in the high desert climate of northern New Mexico makes it very easy for brown sugar to dry out. So, I ordered these sugar bears. After soaking them in water, I bury them in the brown sugar and have been pleased at how well the sugar stays soft and ready to use. When I use up that sugar, simply soak the sugar bear to get rid of any clinging sugar and let it dry out until I need it again. I do not wash it in soap because I don't want the soap to get absorbed and then impart a soap flavor to the sugar.

The very low humidity here in the high desert climate of northern New Mexico makes it very easy for brown sugar to dry out. So, I ordered these sugar bears. After soaking them in water, I bury them in the brown sugar and have been pleased at how well the sugar stays soft and ready to use.
