To be fair, l have never used the XL-II to record directly from a vinyl, l have only used the XL-II to burn from a computer. after ripping an artist album or downloaded an MP3. I can't see why they shouldn't work, but to be on the safe side, I'd purchase the cheaper option first, so you don't waste any money.
