Works as described but not as bright as I expected. I may still use it in another room when I an out, but think that a light and/or radio operating on simple timers are probably more effective. I don't know of anyone who watches TV in a completely dark room. Also, may show through gaps at the top of curtains, but hardly visible through vertical blinds.
