They appear sturdy enough to me for this purpose **Q: How is the rack mounted to the wall? I don't see screw holes in the photo. Trying to figure out if this will work in alignment with the studs.** A: There are (2) screw holes, but they are on 40" centers. The installation instructions suggest using drywall anchors. I have (2) - 9' longboards, a 7'-6" hybrid, and a couple of 6' boards. Drywall anchors weren't going to work. I drilled another hole at 32" from the first hole and lagged them to studs with 1/4"x3" lag bolts.
