Review: Absolute must buy for worship teams on a budget, or even if you aren’t on a budget ❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥 - The Phenyx Pro PTM-33 is by far the BEST budget wireless IEM system that I have used to date. I’m the worship director of worship team for a small church that averages in about 50-60 members per Sunday for our one 11am-1pm worship service. Before using the Phenyx Pro PTM-33 we were using a super budget 2 channel 250 dollar wireless IEM system with 6 wireless receivers sharing two channels. Needless to say as a band we were more or less dealing with it more than we were actually happy with it. We had more than occasional dropouts, the sound coming from the receivers were not only so quiet that the system needed an additional purchase of an amp to be usable, but they also were extremely treble heavy and left a lot of lower frequencies completely lost in the mix. We were always trying everything in our power to get more of our lower frequencies to come through clearly on these and just ended up dealing with it because at least we were able to somewhat hear ourselves despite the quality. Fast forward to the beginning of 2023 when I decided it was time to go wireless with our mics and ended up choosing the Phenyx Pro PTU-7000A which we were absolutely amazed by. This made me curious enough to get the PTM-33 wireless IEM system. Hooking this system up was a dream. I was actually late the day I decided to hook the new system up, panicking, thinking I wouldn’t have the time, but thank the Lord for how easy setup was. I had it out the box, connected to our system and ready to go in 5 minutes flat. Due to the ability to make a daisy chain connection, I literally only needed one wire from the system I already had and a couple spare short wires that I had sitting around to connect every channel and back out into the original system we were using. I couldn’t dream of it being any easier than this! The size of the transmitter was absolutely perfect as well, being not much bigger than the system and amp we already had. I think the only thing that would probably make me happier for the setup process was if there was an auto-scan option for every channel just like on the PTU-7000A to search the RF environment to locate better available frequencies with more precision than just randomly looking through and praying its a perfect channel. REGARDLESS, we experienced ZERO dropouts throughout our stage and sanctuary. Heck, I was able to go to the bathroom and not miss a beat of the sermon because the signal reached all the way out to our bathroom by the entrance of the church building while our transmitter sat on stage. As far as the sound quality goes, I will say the one thing I was not pleased by was the In-Ear Monitor earpieces that came with the system. These were the only thing I would say was not good with what came with the system. They were about as useful as a pair of airplane earbuds if they actually had silicone tips. They were a bit tinny, and didn’t have much depth or soundstage in my opinion. They also offered zero noise isolation, I could literally hear everything else going on around me clear as day. I may be being a little bit harsh, but I’m spoiled with much better sounding earpieces. I could hear everything, but it was definitely not enjoyable and made me glad that my band all had their own IEM Earpieces. I’d say use the included earpieces if you don’t already own your own and are still waiting for your new earpieces to come in. Definitely look into companies like KZ, CRA, Moondrop, and Salnotes for great IEM earpieces for under 25 dollars as replacements for these. HOWEVER, when we used our own IEM earpieces, WOW the sound was so much fuller than what I was expecting. On our old 250 dollar setup, my band would want to constantly take their IEMs out of their ears because they didn’t like the sound that came out from the transmitters, but the PTM-33s outperformed and exceeded all of our expectations. The sound was much fuller in the mid and low frequencies while the high frequencies were just right for vocals and especially with the treble coming from the crash cymbals as well as the snare. The bass that was drowned out on our old system was fully there and in our faces but not offensive. Now my band wears them even off-stage because it sounds so good. Suffice to say the battery life on these are doing way better than what I’ve used before. No noticeable drainage after I had the receivers on for practically the whole day with sounds constantly flowing through them. No complaints whatsoever on that end Last and my most favorite thing about this set are the clips on the receivers. NO MORE are the days of broken receiver clips for your waist and pocket! These clips are SO STURDY. Don’t EVER expect the clips to break, or for any of the receivers to fall off while you’re using em or even jumping around because these clips are so strong and sturdy. Conclusion/TL;DR : Score : 15/10 The PTM-33 is an excellent budget IEM system that can measure up to even some of the top names in the game. PHENYX PRO KNOCKED IT OUT THE PARK WITH THESE! Easy-to-use, set up, and has amazing sound quality, range, and battery life. They’ll stay on your waist and pockets and never fall off with its SUPER STURDY high quality receiver clips. Just make sure to purchase new IEM earpieces and try not to use the included ones.
Review: Hands down the best IEM system I’ve owned. - *watch the video review for a quick run down* I want to preface this review by saying nobody influenced me to write this. I am writing this out of my own compulsion to do so, because that’s how stoked I am on this product. All the frustration my band has gone through with other IEM systems we have owned (live performance drop outs, battery doors busting, belt clips flying off, horrible sound quality and volume levels, etc) I had to write this. Read on.. I have nothing but great things to say about this Phenyx Pro IEM system for the price point. Every other sub $500 IEM system my band has used has failed in one way or another, primarily with signal drop outs during live performances which is VERY FRUSTRATING. PROS: -Sound quality is much better than any other budget IEM system you will find. Is it Sennheiser G4 quality? No. But there’s zero latency, and the minimal static noise you might hear is to the point where you’re not gonna dwell on it. -This packs in 4 channels for 4 individual mixes in 1u rack space. WHAT?! It saves a ton of space. -No need to label body packs. Each pack simply pairs to the channel of choice through infrared sensors. Select channel, hold pack to sensor. Done. You can easily switch between IEM mixes or rapidly share mixes with this feature. -Includes rack mounts, antenna cables and holes to mount antennas in front of case. WIN! Having direct line of sight at shows is great, and the antennas fit with the front lid of the case without having to take them off. - VOLUME. These things are easily 5x louder than our previous packs. No need for headphone amplifiers at all. -Input peaking? Input volume control knobs for each channel on front of display. -Easily change frequencies for each channel. Group button and RF channel button for each of the 4 packs. -Quality. Heavier duty plastics and metal. You won’t have battery doors flying off with these. The belt clips are sturdy as well. -Dual inputs to insert a second line for click, another instrument etc. -Loop out to feed another channel with same mix, or out to other audio devices in rack. -902-928mhz freq range, stays out of the way of a majority of signal interference. In fact, we haven’t had them drop out YET! CONS: -MONO. These are not stereo. However, if you’re looking for stereo IEMS you know you’re not going to be spending less than $500 anyways. For us, Mono has been great and we control our own mixes through our XR18 mixer and EQ everything for separation. Mixes are crisp and clean in our ears. -It does includes headphones with tons of extra tips. The tips are GREAT. However, the headphones are NOT. Invest in quality IEM headphones, your ears and audience will thank you. -1/4 in inputs instead of XLR. Honestly, I understand why they did this from a design perspective, fitting 8 XLR inputs and loop outs would not fit in 1u rack space. The vast majority of people using this will likely have XLR out on their bus outs from mixer, so including XLR female to 1/4 adapters would make this product 11/10. I bought 4 XLR to 1/4in adapters here on desertcart for $9.99. Buy those as well if you’re going to purchase this. -Frequency bandwidth is only 25mhz of wiggle room for all 4 frames packs. If there is interference between 900-928mhz, you’re gonna be hosed. This is the biggest sacrifice you will have with this product in comparison to higher end brand name (shure, sennheiser) as they have much higher bandwidth per channel. Nevertheless, I am in a pop punk band and we play shows very often and we tour, these have so far been rock solid at the smaller venues we play. If you’re playing a festival or something, I would probably purchase these with the Phenyx Pro antenna paddles which conveniently connect right up to these as well. I liked this product so much, and have dealt with so much frustration from previous IEM systems that I was compelled to write this for everyone who is considering upgrading. If you’re in a band, and you’re not playing festivals, these are a complete no brainer. No drop outs, volume is killer, quality is amazing, and features are unparalleled for sub $500. You simply can’t beat it. Long story short, we are VERY happy with this purchase. Get it, you won’t regret it.

Phenyx Pro PTM-33 I have tried and tested the Phenyx Pro PTM-33 4-Channel Mono In Ear Monitor System. This is a Great system. If you’re looking for a budget IEM System this is the one. I have tried several other budget brands and Phenyx pro is the best out there. The ear buds that come with this unit do work, but I use my preferred ones. This is also the case with my much more expensive unit. The body packs are made of plastic, I feel this is fine. will do the job and last awhile. I would not be afraid to use these in a harsh environment. If something were to happen to the body pack, the price to replace is very reasonable. The setup was very simple, plug in, set preferred channels, easy sync and off you go. Only 2 antennas for this 4-channel system, That’s Great. The audio is very good, you can even hear the bass. I’m very impressed how well these work. So far so good. I have other Phenyx Pro devices and am very happy with everything. I always recommend Phenyx Pro to anything from man cave, karaoke, churches, to live gigging bands. Phenyx Pro manufactures great products with budget prices in mind. Thank you, Phenyx Pro.,
