I am a short distance runner so far, so no need to water bottles just yet, but if you are needing space for water bottles, the most you can do is clip one on. The belt is durable from the stretch to the zippers to the buckle. Pockets are tight, but fit what I need, which is an IPHONE 15 Plus in case, my license, chapstick and car key. The fit is nice as well. I am a 34" waist and have a bit of room, so it is not too tight and adjustable to fit as needed. I usually where it under my shirt, and it does not cut in to my belly at all.
