He is always bending the kickstand back and for on this thing and has not broke it. The case feels very durable but pliable enough to deal with impacts drops abrasions...There is enough of the case that seems like it can protect a fair amount of the screen, but that's not to say you shouldn't get some screen protectors. I don't because I can't stand putting them on and I hate how they interfere with touch screen inputs.
