I purchased these used my drill to attach them to my Muck boots and I'm here to tell you I can dance on ice with these! They work great! They stay attached and they grip on all surfaces! When I say they work on all surfaces that's also a bit of bad news - so take this warning seriously! Do not wear these in the house on the new hardwood floor, vinyl floor or even on the carpet or you will have a hot cook and a cold supper! As long as you stay outside, these are seriously the best solution for slick winter surfaces I have found. I totally recommend them! They seemed like a good idea, but I’ll be going back to Yak Trax as too many of these get lost on a run. **Q: How do they work on rubber sole wader boots?** A: Hi, Yes Icespike work great in Waders, Muck boots and all others. They are pretty amazing! **Q: Is this the 3/8 size recommended for running shoes? I don’t want to order the longer ones by mistake.** A: I have the 3/8 inch size in a pair of boots. The thinnest part of the soul on my boots is 5/8 inch thick. They worked great on solid ice which was on a hill. I could not slide even when I tried. The soles on my Nike tennis shoes are 5/8 inch @ the toe & to about 1 1/8 inch @ the heal. The 3/8 inch would work just fine in those shoe. The 3/8 means that the thread are 3/8 of an inch long. If the soles of your running shoes are over 3/8 inch or more then the 3/8 will work just fine.
