Finally, there's something we could use as strainer that we could clip right on to a saucepan, sauté pan, or pot for a quick drain of liquid without having to switch and dump the whole content into a colander. Even more useful when we just want to drain partial liquid, just some of it from what we're cooking, could just clip this on a pan and....Voilà! Get the adjusted desired amount of liquid to the level we want, quick and easy, no switching to a colander, no dumping all out, all that transferring done within the same pot/pan, no extra pot/pan to use and clean.Initially, we weren't sure how well this clip-on strainer would be, were wondering if it would have a big gap between it and the pot/pan edge, causing the pasta/noodle to slip out and end up in a sink drain, something like that.... Nope, that didn't happen, passed that test.
