As can be seen from the photograph you can stack heavy dishes and cooking pots – the top rack even happily takes the weight of a full-size cast-iron casserole dish and lid. I have now been using this product for nearly a year and altogether I am very pleased with it. Each rack is supported by rods which slot into short holes which you have to drill into the side wall of the cabinet (not all the way through); you then tighten nuts to brace the rack between the two cabinet walls. Provided you space the cabinets the correct distance apart (i.e. the same dimensions as the interior of the relevant sized cabinet) you would then just drill the stub holes into the outside walls of each cabinet, and brace the racks between them. I don’t want to use it for wet crockery as I’m not sure how you’d keep the water from dripping out of the cupboard, perhaps some tray at the bottom.
