I have nobody to blame but myself for not reading the measurements more carefully. This thing is TINY. I got caught up in choosing several items and must have gone by the pictures rather than the stated dimensions. I was shocked when I received it but, again, they are not misleading us. It is exactly as stated. The quality of the finish is good. You can do exactly what it says and remove the little ball from the stand and display two small air plants. I had hoped to use it on our lanai table for a larger plant but it's lost on there and certainly doesn't hold the plant I had in mind. I'm instead using it with a small plant on a side table. It's cute.
