We needed a way to lift it up and stabilize it so that we could clean the deck. This worked great did exactly what we needed it to do. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good Hoist - Bad Chain *by R***S on December 8, 2025* I had to return the first hoist that I received. Both chains were in their sprockets correctly but the pull chain could be moved only a few inches. Also the red cover was smashed a little so that it rubbed on the pull chain. Obviously not a new item. The replacement hoist was identical but had some small dents in the red cover, also obviously not new. It worked as advertised until the pull chain started forming jams. The pull chain is poorly designed. The interior width of the chain links is just a little smaller than twice the link diameter. When the chain is in a jumble on the floor, two links can slide past each other within the middle link that joins them. Not clear how this happens because the sum of the two diameters is a tiny amount greater than the middle link interior width. The jam can be cleared using pliers, but it is very annoying to stop lifting to free the pull chain for further motion. The pull chain does not need to be very strong. If the link diameter were just a little smaller, the jams could not happen. If the pull chain is kept fully extended at all times, jams will not form, but that is an inconvenient way to use the hoist.
