Two people who board at our farm suggested getting Leather Balsam for my tack and I tried this brand yesterday. It definitely softens the leather of my saddle, bridle and field boots! It's a Vaseline-type consistency, which I'm not used to, but it definitely changes the leather immediately. I used a small sponge instead of the one it comes with, which I'm sure is fine.
