I wouldn’t recommend to add this to a tank that is set up and already has water in it, because it clouds bad and it did take about 24-36 hours to fully clear up, but it looks BEAUTIFUL. The substrate almost sparkles in the light, and I love the black color of it. I’ve only had plants in it for a few days, so I can’t really speak on how good the substrate truly is, but so far I’m loving it. It does come wet and you do not need to rinse it at all. Supposedly bioactive and doesn't need to be cleaned, if put down properly had no water clouding, don't know how bioactive it is as I had other things in the tank to seed it as well.
