However I would like to take this opportunity to inform anyone reading this; you do NOT need to test your pee if you are using a ketogenic diet for weight loss. If you eat below 20-25 grams of carbs a day, you WILL be in ketosis. Period. These types of testing strips were designed for diabetics but are now marketed with the hype to the dieters. YES, we ordered them for the dieting purpose. NO, I didn't know any better at the time. YES, it was a waist of money....However, I can understand that seeing a visual representation that your new diet is doing SOMETHING, ANYTHING to your body can give you a boost in motivation. If you understand that that's all this is good for in nutritional ketosis, then by all means, purchase away! Do not, however, over analyze the results. No matter how many ketones your peeing out, making them is all that matters. The longer you are on keto, the lower the reading is going to be anyway as your body is becoming more efficient at burning the ketones, thereby releasing less of them into your urine.AGAIN: eat under 20 grams of carbs and you're in ketosis without any need to test UNLESS you are diabetic, in which case you should be hearing all this from your doc anyway and not some random on an Amazon review. ### ⭐ Only good for 1 month *by J***E on July 18, 2018* These 'went bad' after only a month. I kept them in the container with the lid and they were all completely useless after 4 weeks. ### ⭐⭐⭐ Quality Control *by D***A on July 17, 2018* It works, it usually takes me 4 days to get into Ketosis and I used it every day and like usual the 4th day I was in Ketosis. I only gave it 3 stars because some quality control is needed, I’ve run into several sticks that didn’t have the “test” strip on it/ it was a very little piece of any.
