I previously had a magnetic screen that held up fairly well, but after so many openings with packages in hand and the door lock to put the key in, it ripped from the strain. This type of screen is lightweight and not made to last like a traditional screen door. But this one has several good features — strong magnets for good closure, sturdy borders around the mesh and, best of all, the tie-backs. Much easier to go in and out with armloads and to get the key in the door without tugging one side of the screen.
