I have a slightly larger head than a lot of other women (and some men) and find that most hats are too tight, and adjustable ones have to be made pretty big to be non-constricting on me. This hat fits me great. If you tend to find that hats are often too large on you, and the adjustable ones you have to make as small as they go, this will most certainly be too sloppy. It is not adjustable. I like the pony tail holder, that is really nice for keeping hair off of my neck and out of my face. The chin strap is useful for windy days, and it's adjustable so you can have it at a comfortable tightness. With the straps coming in front of my ears, it can be annoying if I don't pull the string tighter, even if it's not necessary otherwise. The hat is pretty lightweight and pliable. Doesn't make my head too hot, even on a sunny day. The hat arrived folded up but the creases straightened out fine after a short time wearing it. It's a good hat and doesn't look ridiculous. I'd wear it hiking or even at an outdoor event. But it's perfect for yard-work (and was the purpose for my purchase).
