Once installed, which is very easy, this switch has worked great without any hassle. I am now a repeat buyer and can say that both purchases have been great. We have 2 cars which are not used often and have always disconnected the NEG battery cable from the battery so as to keep the battery charged when the cars are going to sit around for a few weeks or months at a time without being started. In the past, I had no problem removing the NEG battery cable from the battery by loosening the nut. But to do this you need use your tools, and when you do this over and over, sometimes it makes the nut a little sloppy, after a while, I was not really able to tighten everything down as I would like to do, from the repeated loosening and tightening of the bold/nut. Now that I have installed this switch, it makes the process so much easier! First, I don't need any tools, I just pop the hood and turn the switch to red (off) when I'm not going to use the car for a while. When I'm ready to drive again, I pop the hood, and turn the switch to green. (see pictures) One thing to note, once the battery is turned off, you will need to open your car door via the physical key, because the key fob (push button) will no longer work. Since we rarely used the actual key prior to this, we sprayed some graphite power in the key-hole just to keep everything lubricated in there so the key would turn easy.
