This is way better than original equipment. Two outlets give a really good stream of bubbles, which is what produces most of the noise, so I no longer have to listen to the incessant buzzing rumble of the old pump. It is also smaller, about the same size as a UK plug, sticks to the aquarium side with one sucker, and is lower power usage.
