A: I installed my unit in the bed of my truck, but I have a roll up bed cover.

**Q: Can i mount the air compressors sidways or do they need to be up right.**
A: Hello Shawn,
The compressor is oil-less so you can mount it pretty much any direction, however, mounting it sideways will cause the piston ring to wear faster on one side. Basically the compressor is designed to dissipate heat out of the head of the compressor. Since heat rises, if it were mounted upside down the heat would just run back into the compressors causing it to overheat quickly.
