Can you then take it to a tyre shop for a perminant repair. Or will they not want to deal with the sticky mess?** A: There's no sticky mess, nor a need to get it repaired later. With this kit you'll basically stuff a piece of soft rubber into the puncture and permanently plug the hole. No glue or anything else goes into the tyre. Just be sure you have a 12V compressor (pump) in your vehicle too. The one time I had to use it I repaired the puncture and it held the pressure perfectly for in excess of 10,000 miles until I sold the car. This isn't like those temporary emergency liquid repairs that you fill through the air valve giving a temporary repair.
