As a plus they are much cheaper than through the surgery. Unfortunately my dog hates them. They can be split - but it is not specified to what degree.That said my vet has said that if a product is chewable it can be crushed. I had to go online to check but it seems that Zentonil is chewable (I guess that's what they mean by 'palatable' in the description here).I started crushing a tablet in grease proof and funneling it direct into her mouth. But now I semi crush it and mix with a spoonful of porridge.I've read that ideally milk thistle should be administered 4 weeks on and one week off. A short course of these had corrected two of her three liver enzymes which were way outside their normal ranges; I bought these to continue the treatment for an extra month to complete the course. A tip - if your dog needs 2x200mg per day, buy the 400mg size and break each tablet into two and serve a half with each meal.
