I use this to make curls for him in the front and it works really well for that! I have never seen a curling iron this skinny. There are not may 1/4" curling iron options out there, so I settled on this one. Yes, the cord sucks and sometimes the tip is VERY hot, but it gets the job done for my kid's few pieces of hair that I curl. I have very long hair and tried it on a strand of mine. I couldn't believe how short my hair got and how coiled it was! The one thing I really do NOT like is how there is a 'high' setting and a 'low' setting.
