I use herb guard jars to seal my herb in. Hope this helps **Q: How long to leave in a jar with 2 ounces of herb?** A: I buy a half oz normally and what ive noticed is the stones get the herb a bit to moist at first but after a day in the jar I left the stone in and it keep the hydration level perfect. So sort awnser leave it in the jar with the lid open for a couple over hours, then seal **Q: Is it reusable?** A: Yes. I soak mine in cold tap water for 15 minutes every morning, then pat it dry on a paper towel. Then toss it in to my pre made cigarettes all day. With this stone you can restore your dry tobacco to have its original moisture content. Soak it in water for 5 mins. Pat dry and leave in your pouch overnight (ish) and it's back to how it was.
