I have been trying to replace some thinner pot holders I have had forever, but all I'm finding are the real thick ones like these. I'm sure it is because they don't want to take a chance on anyone getting burned, but a thinner pot holder with maybe an internal heat-proof lining would be better.

These are really nice quality, heavy pot holders. They work well for roasting pans, heavier saucepans, etc. which is what I wanted them for. And, yes, they are thick enough to be used as a trivet. If you’re looking for something more flexible, lighter weight, and more “grippy”, these aren’t your guys. (For those, Ikea often has cute ones.)
