And will be for the next decade. *by on Reviewed in the United States October 9, 2023* Costs a pretty penny, but this is one component that's going to travel with you from build to build.Why? 1.6kW is basically the max power you'll get out of a standard North American wall socket. And it supports 2 ATX 3.0 connectors, which are both rated at 600w - and that's 3/4 of your power budget right there - you just can't get more out that poor socket. That standard just came out and will be there for a while. GPUs will basically have to adhere to it.In 220V countries (or if you are lucky to have a socket like that in your house in the US) you could potentially get more power into a PSU, but I really doubt a mass market manufacturer is going to go for this any time soon.On top of that, it's really hard to get more efficient that this PSU already is.I've built a 2x4090 + Threadripper Pro using this puppy, and it performs admirably, given that at a max load it really pushes the max power limit of both the PSU and the wall socket. This is what you get when you use quality components!If you add all of these points together, you can see, how this is going to be an ultimate PSU for a while, I think for the next decade. It's cost?
