It was a life saver in multiple situations. We were in five different countries and it worked great in each country. I just popped it into my iPhone 6 before landing and upon arriving in the UK, turned on my phone and it worked great. The only minor hiccup we had was when we went to Spain it didn't seem to want to work. Once I got to my hotel with wi-fi I chatted with 3 tech support on their website and they had me change the setting to turn on roaming and set Carrier from Automatic to manual and then they told me which carrier to select for Spain. It worked great in France, Italy and Switzerland as well. One thing to know is that if you are texting or calling a European number, you need to dial a + (on iPhone press and hold on the 0 to get a + sign) and then the country code and then the number. As for your phone number, it leads with a 0 for some reason, you need to omit that 0, so your number when you have the SIM will be +44 then the number on the back without the leading 0. It took us a bit to figure that out, but once we did everything was seamless. Make sure you buy enough minutes/data because you can't top off without a UK credit card.
