Mine fits with a bit of extra room on either side, but doesn't slide around when it's in. The elastic band keeps the sleeve shut, and the fuzziness of the felt should mean the flap stays closed even if the band stretches out some over time.Yes the material is thin, or "flimsy" as some people say, but it's what I expected it to be. It's just felt, not reinforced or anything.
