A: It can reach the high notes but you have to cover the holes firmly and take care with the amount of force you are using when blowing to get a clear sound. It has a clear sound most of the time.

**Q: Iis this a descant or a soprano?**
A: This is a soprano I think. Very much traditional small size. Lovely warm sound.

It is a beautifully manufactured Instrument with a soft and warm sound. Incredible value for money. The only drawback is that the nicely solid box is somewhat difficult to open for children (and adults as well).
