There are two pre drilled holes on the side that don't show up well in the picture. We used mortar screws and drilled into brick. It IS a deep grey blue and almost exactly matches the blue trim on our house...I would call the photo on the sellers website only slightly darker than what I received. **Q: What color blue is the background?** A: I'd say the picture is pretty representative of the color.
