(For reference, in descending order of the others, KitnCoco, Lyclear normal, Hedrin, Full Marks, Tea Tree). No, it doesn't always kill an entire infestation in one application, but then neither do any of the others that claim to either and this comes closer to doing so more often than anything else we've tried. I bought it as my daughter has eczema and allergies to a number of common toiletry ingredients and we were worried about the quantity of strong chemicals we might be putting on her head with the frequency of nit epidemics at her school. She's had no reaction to it, which is great. It's also not as oily and drippy as some of the others - more like a lotion - so easier to apply.
