The case feels solid when closed. In my opinion, the spine could provide just a bit more axial stability when in the open or in the read position. But in this case, no pun intended, I do not feel that my pickiness ought to lower the rating. Five stars it is.PS: I reviewed the one star reviews (total of three). Rest assured, the power button is accessible. In the case of the other two reviews, well, I just don't know what transpired. Is lighter than my other case for my paperwhite and has a smooth feel to it. I really like the Wake option as is nice to simple open and begin to read. It isnt as heavy duty as the other cases I have had but it certainly feels good, looks good and so far, works good. I am a bit rough and read a lot, so is open and closed frequently. So hoping no creases or failure at the back binding, I guess you might call it?
