I know some of the videos show using needle nose pliers, but mine was very easy.Pull the old one off and put the new one. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars Exact Replacement for Kenmore Natural Gas Oven *by B***B on Reviewed in the United States on July 16, 2023* Was an exact match for a Kenmore (Sears) natural gas oven model number 790.71373703 and works extremely well. It was the gas stove in the kitchen when I bought the house so I didn't know the past repair history or life of the appliance. I just wished I had changed it years ago and saved a lot of money, time, (and yes, heat!). The oven now cooks much faster as the heat isn't escaping out. The old seal had gotten hard due to spilled food being baked into it so it was rigid and hard it did not seal very well - if at all. Lots of the heat the oven produced leaked out and made the kitchen very hot (no pun intended). The tell-tale sign was that I noticed that at the very top RH and LH corners of the door, a large amount of heat was escaping and I could not hold my hands there very long without burning them. The new seal does not have that problem and leaves the kitchen (and whole house) much cooler.The only down side for my particular oven was that I had to remove and disassemble the door to install the new seal as the old seal, which was installed when the oven was manufactured, was attached to the interior of the door and could not be pulled out at the very bottom. I found a video on-line that showed how to disassemble the door to install the new seal. The repairman in the video even advised that for the new seal just slip it into the 2 holes at the very bottom of the oven door so that if you wish to change the seal out again, you don't have to take the door apart. This particular seal had 16 pins (I think that is right-read the description for the details) so I counted the pins of my old seal and verified it would indeed work on my oven.So for some $30 odd dollars, it was well worth my time and money and I'm looking forward to several more years of use.
