I needed a shower mat because my shower floor feels slippery. This mat felt "tacky" at first, but as soon as I started to shampoo my hair I noticed that the mat started to feel just as slippery as the plain shower floor. Shampoo "foam" was building up around and on the mat, making it feel slick. I have long hair and use conditioner, and that made it even worse. Aside from that, why in the world did they think it would be a good idea to cover the drain hole area? Following somebody else's review, I cut a hole in the center to allow water to drain, but water, shampoo, and conditioner still built up not just in the center area but all around the mat. I won't be using it again.
