Review: Excellent collectible, scared to use in practice - Very nice, but there’s a lot of small, fragile parts that could easily break if the slightest pressure is made on them. The material is good, the actual characters are light weight which add to their fragility, but the base itself is heavy and can withstand to hold small books, no more than twice the height of the wells.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent collectible, scared to use in practice

Very nice, but there’s a lot of small, fragile parts that could easily break if the slightest pressure is made on them. The material is good, the actual characters are light weight which add to their fragility, but the base itself is heavy and can withstand to hold small books, no more than twice the height of the wells.

I bought these bookends as a Christening gift for our Granddaughter. Extremely pleased with them.They are a lovely heavy weight,excellent quality and the detail is amazing.Would highly recommend them.

### ⭐⭐⭐ Beautiful ornament but not a very good bookend

In all ways except one this is a lovely item. Sadly that one fault happens to be in performing the very function it is supposed to do i.e. to stop books sliding. The base of the two halves has a velvety material glued very firmly that doesn't grip especially well but does stop you from fixing anything else to the bottom that would grip well. The net result: The super glue has had to come out on three separate occasions to re-affix Eeyore's ear, Tigger's tail, and one of the snails that sits on top of the well. I have ended up having to fit an end piece of wood to the shelf to stop the thing that should prevent sliding from sliding. It's a beautiful ornament (it darned well should be at that price) and my four year old daughter adores it... which made things all the more tearful when it slid off the shelf and broke.
