A huge bonus in my eyes is that it only draws 50 watts which I confirmed with a Electricity Consumption Monitor. only thing that I'm kindve leery about is that in the directions it says to unplug it for 10 minutes every 24 hours... from what I understand of the mechanics behind this devices dehumidification that shouldn't be necessary unless they cheaped out on the motor in the fan and overheating is an issue. Although there was a fair amount of humidity , it didn't seem to be doing much. Over the next few days though, it seemed to get better. Maybe it just needed a "breaking in" period.
