First, it is accurate and reliable and I don't need or want date. Second it has sapphire so it is better protected against scratches etc. The dial is easy to read the numbers. The band is the most comfortable I've ever had because it is soft leather and not plastic. It does not rotate around the wrist like the stiffer bands.
