He has another remote control excavator that isn't as technical and you just push a couple buttons and it does all the motions for you. However, this excavator, you can control and dig up sand and pick up things and get it wherever you want. It is a really fun "toy" haha. This is definitely for older kids, even though my 4 year old has started to get the hang of it. I really love the construction and durability of the excavator. It is able to get around very great in the sandbox and maneuver around with ease. It also has sounds and a light on the top that is really cool and the kids get excited. My favorite part about this excavator is the interchangeable tools. The jack hammer actually works!
