I originally thought that it was excess sawdust coming off of the desk because it's wood. I saw a couple of strange looking bugs, but I didn't know what they were. I saw more sawdust after cleaning it and I looked closer and saw tunnel holes in the desk. I now have to have my apartment fumigated to ensure that there aren't anymore bugs. It looks great from the top and works pretty well, except for the terrible quality of construction that makes me think it’s all about to fall apart.Within a few hours of opening the (damaged) packaging and using the item, the tiny drawer (barely usable, too small for pencils) broke off. I turned the whole thing over to inspect it and the little runner had popped off, having been held on my tiny flimsy staples. I then noticed that the frame underneath was coming apart in one corner, having been held by the same flimsy staples and no wood glue. The seemingly sturdy design is also misleading as the edges of the frame are not properly anchored.
