They are far superior to the depends brand. On the occasions where she sleeps through the night uninterrupted, these survive without any leaking! She has been known to sometimes sleep from 9pm-11am if she's really, really tired and we haven't had any problems. That being said... she is only urinary incontinent so I'm not 100% sure about someone who is fully incontinent. The only times these have ever leaked has been at night when she has pulled them back on a completely crooked after a trip to the restroom. I know that was the cause of the mess bc the underwear were hardly wet on those occasions and she managed to make a puddle on the floor despite having them on. These are expensive, but I feel they are definitely worth the money! We use them day and night and I never have to worry about an accident when we are out and about all day. I tested a pair when we first started using them and I was able to pour a quart of water into a pair with NO leaking. I wasn't just dribbling it in... I poured fast enough to simulate a full on "accident" bc I wanted to know if we could really depend on them for complete protection!
