Few things yes you will need a drill and probably some small clippers or a X-Acto knife to clean up the little bits around the holes after drilling. The laces themselves are pretty easy to get through once you get it started however fair warning get them how you want them because I made a mistake lacing them up and had to redo them well one of the laces tip pulled off with the extra tape bit I put on there and it unraveled. Thankfully it didn't go far and the laces themselves are long so we made it work. Now to put on the shrink plastic is easy as well but again fair warning if using a lighter they will turn grayish because of the smoke.. heat gun is probably better.
