I’ve only used them for gardening so no idea how they perform in welding or any kind of job that involves heat. I’d definitely recommend these for tough outdoor jobs. Worth every penny.

**Q: would these keep my hands warm while shoveling snow?**
A: While they are on the thicker side, I think as soon as they got wet your hands would be freezing. I wouldn’t recommend these for working in the snow.

**Q: Should these be waterproofed before using? Beeswax or mineral oil?**
A: They do not need to be waterproofed. Yes, some moisture will get in, but not bad. Mineral oil may cause them to leave oil on everything you touch, but it depends on the use you have planned.

These are the best gardening gloves I've had. They are good quality and made of thick leather so are durable. They are warm as they have a nice lining. I have quite large hands but the medium is a good fit for me. They also look good and the red colour is lovely. I like the tie cord which gives extra protection for the hands.
