Review: Perfect First Bike for My 6-Year-Old! - I bought the 18-inch RoyalBaby Freestyle bike for my 6-year-old as his very first bike, and I’m really impressed with it. The bike looks great, feels well made, and the quality exceeded my expectations. Assembly was surprisingly easy because both wheels were already installed. All I had to do was attach and tighten the handlebars, pedals, seat, and reflectors. It took very little time to get everything ready. The bike is lightweight, rides smoothly, and seems very sturdy. My son was excited the moment he saw it and absolutely loves riding it. Seeing how much fun he’s having makes it worth every penny. If you’re looking for a quality first bike that’s easy to assemble and offers great value, I highly recommend this one!

Set up: Firstly, the set up is NOT easy. You have to watch the videos and if the brakes don’t come set up perfectly already, good luck. It took me an hour to figure out how to adjust the front brakes and I almost stripped one of the nuts using the tool they send you in the process. There are no instructions for where to put the reflectors, one is missing a screw. Fit and weight: my daughter can’t ride it by herself because the seat is too high even in the lowest position (she’s 3.5, we got a 14inch—her brother’s 16in bike from another brand has a lower seat height). It’s also too heavy for her to manage on her own—she can’t even walk it up the driveway by herself. Build: besides the crappy screws and finicky brakes, the seat handle for parents to help kids balance is so lightweight and flimsy compared to the weight of the bike, so it feels like it’s going to snap if the bike tilts. Overall I’m so upset. I wish I would have saved the money and waited for a better bike, even if it cost twice as much as this used. Did not meet my needs at all.

I bought the 18-inch RoyalBaby Freestyle bike for my 6-year-old as his very first bike, and I’m really impressed with it. The bike looks great, feels well made, and the quality exceeded my expectations. Assembly was surprisingly easy because both wheels were already installed. All I had to do was attach and tighten the handlebars, pedals, seat, and reflectors. It took very little time to get everything ready. The bike is lightweight, rides smoothly, and seems very sturdy. My son was excited the moment he saw it and absolutely loves riding it. Seeing how much fun he’s having makes it worth every penny. If you’re looking for a quality first bike that’s easy to assemble and offers great value, I highly recommend this one!

I’m so mad that I bought this. I got it for my 3yo daughter who has mastered her little balance bike and wants to learn how to ride with pedals. Set up: Firstly, the set up is NOT easy. You have to watch the videos and if the brakes don’t come set up perfectly already, good luck. It took me an hour to figure out how to adjust the front brakes and I almost stripped one of the nuts using the tool they send you in the process. There are no instructions for where to put the reflectors, one is missing a screw. Fit and weight: my daughter can’t ride it by herself because the seat is too high even in the lowest position (she’s 3.5, we got a 14inch—her brother’s 16in bike from another brand has a lower seat height).
