Review: Large and easy to read - We bought this to use for science experiments with our grandson. It worked great and was easy to read. Just be careful as it is glass! ### ⭐ "Spirit" Filling? *by N***A on October 3, 2024* Imagine you're a kid hoped up on sugar-cubes in a science class. (I mean, what kid won't sneak some sugar cubes in between measurements?) You put your thermometer in the first liquid, and what does it do? NOT WORK. That's what. You try other liquids. The air. A boiling cup of water. NOTHING. So...when an adult is trying to get a back-up thermometer, you use said, nonfunctional thermometer as a drumstick. Because you're a kid. Let's just pray the "spirit" filling they mention (way to be vague and make us all really nervous) won't turn said kid into an actual spirit. Praying this is NON-TOXIC. And if it hadn't become the victim of an over-sugared kid, the thermometer definitely would have been returned. Failure rate of these thermometers? Based on the reviews, more than half? Garbage.
