The alarm is very, very easy to install, just takes minutes. The siren is very loud and after testing it several times I believe it to be very trustworthy. A long wire is attached to the alarm on one end and a small plastic piece on the other, into which a smaller looping wire is also connected. The looping wire needs to be looped around something secure within the distance of the length of the entire wire which is plenty long. I could take it through a hole in the wall through which the HDMI cable runs, but instead hooked it around the sconce that is next to the TV. Feasibly a thief could take out the sconce AND dismount the TV from the mount, but I'm banking on that taking too much time for anyone to actually do, and still they would have the issue of having the alarm connected to both the TV and the sconce... Highly recommend this. The only 'down side', if it can be called one, is that the security sticker that comes with it doesn't stick at all to the Moss cover I have on the TV. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Still have my TV! *by H***Y on Reviewed in the United States on March 15, 2012* We recently installed a TV outside -- a Panasonic 42-inch plasma, but my wife was losing sleep thinking it might get stolen (even though it's fairly old and could be replaced at a fraction of the cost). I found this device and while it hasn't gone off yet (thankfully), the concept is sound and it's easy to install. The cable from it goes through a hole in the wall to a hook inside the house. If someone cuts it or unplugs it, a loud siren will sound...and I mean LOUD. It will definitely wake us and scare off the would-be thief who won't want to lug the TV with them while they try to make their escape. I like that it is made of stainless steel and epoxied to the TV. Great for protecting items that would likely be stolen. Just be careful with your epoxy. If you put it too close to the edges of the mounting piece, the device will not close correctly.
