Please don't be so harsh, only trying to help in my replies. Yes it will give you 4 wired connections at 1GBs if your hardware supports it, or will auto negotiate speed if your hardware does not. The first 4 ports on this switch are POE (power over Ethernet if required, if your equipment is compatible, please see TPLinks website for details). It will route IPV6 and IPV4 with no problems. By default Windows 7 only uses IPV4 anyway all versions both 32 and 64 bit. So if you can access the internet with your present router config you will be ok. Ask me another question if you wish and will tell you how to make W7 cough up it's IP config. I was certain that this was causing some intermittent connectivity issues which proved to be the case. Saw the latest version of TP-Link PoE+ Switch on Amazon which was good value and arrived the next day.
