HP's proprietary mount was the fault, not this product. It's actually very solid, holds the mac mini and a heavy monitor on a tv stand and even includes a desk mount. Original Review: Looks solid, but was not able to successfully install it because HP’s VESA mounts are not flush with the back of the monitor. I have a much smaller VESA plate that mounts to a tv stand that fits in the rear of my HP monitor, but as you can see in the photos I’ve included, the Mac mini mount will not sit flush because it covers more than the mini VESA area and includes an extension which I’m sure is nice if your monitor or tv can use the extra screws to secure it. But it completely prevents me from installing this on my monitor. Review: It just works - Needed to mount Mac mini to the VESA arm on my exercise bike, connected to a small HDMI tv that also serves as a pretty good computer monitor. Turns out this works very well, computer is solidly supported on the VIVO mount which in turn mounts to both the bike's media arm and also to the TV in one compact package. The only fiddling I had to do was to reverse the two mount plates so the larger plate was mounted to the bike media arm and the smaller plate mounted to the back of the TV.
