I have studied the historical Jesus regarding culture, customs, setting and language for many years and authors like Geza Vermes and E P Sanders have been most influential and what George Lamsa brings with his unique knowledge of customs and mastery of Jesus mother tongue Aramaic gives as clear a picture of what Jesus teachings meant as I've found. This is an essential read for anyone wanting to understand Jesus.
